We also have a working model of a Virtual Group Office to enhance professional collaboration and organization.
Clinicians interested in helping to support and promote this open virtual model of care are welcome to
request an
invitation to participate in the NowDox Virtual Office.  We have team members who work actively with current and
potential sponsor programs
to also seek enhanced support for the Virtual Care Model.  Sponsor programs have the
opportunity to contribute time of their own staff as "clinical communication support team members" so as to
enhance the value of NowDox to their specific operational needs, using the same common gateway to connect to
Virtual Consults and other services.

Why use Virtual Consultation Room tools?..This is such a simple way to meet "face-to-face" online if a colleague, patient, staff,
family caregiver or other healthcare provider is in a location with any type of computer, has any type of web-cam and any
connection to the internet. It is even more practical when one virtual consultation room is "connected" easily to another via a
"network" of rooms.
Why use Desktop and Screen-share Web Meeting tools?..These empower you to control your own "sharing environment".  It makes
it simple for you and a remote expert to see what you are seeing on your screen, to help train how to use some services or to
review medical records together. There are tools that work from ANY computer, ANYWHERE and does not need any special
technology on your PC.
Why use Text chat, Secure Message and Document tools?...These make it much simpler to share important information with each
other: with colleagues, office staff, patients and family caregivers. Anyone can easily leverage
free Google Chat/Talk as a
foundation for professional "instant messaging and find-me-now"
processes for clinical coverage and expert access. The free
Updox secure message service
provides a secure, auditable method of tracking communications and interconnecting
document/fax/email with any EMR system as well!
Why use shared web calendars to help workflow?    Google Calendars can be used easily for scheduling online meetings and to
help clinicians post their "availability for coverage", etc. NowDox members can use these to access web meetings scheduled to train
others in how to better leverage these types of services mentioned above also.
Why use Virtual Database/Virtual Offices?..These enable workgroups to manage their own data needs, how information is
captured, presented, organized, viewed and reported upon..in secure collaboration online environments without dependency on
other systems whose information models you might have little control over. Special care programs are particularly pleased with
these types of tools.
NowDox is on a mission to empower and train clinicians, support staff, patients and other caregivers, and any allied
health  professionals in the use of openly accessible tools to transform communication and collaboration. NowDox is
founded upon open models of sharing ideas, tools and collaboration.
Several clinicians devote personal time to
NowDox
, not as a commercial enterprise but as a commitment to change.

We believe that healthcare is itself a "people" based process. Therefore, personal support services are important
and useful to guarantee that all individuals will achieve maximal value from any tools and services they use in order
to enhance their workflow.
This is all about people meeting with other people to learn, leverage and enhance
different methods of "getting work done" more easily and effectively.

Sincerely,

Andrew Barbash, MD
