Approaches to "Telemedicine" (a term we don't like to use much) often are tied to specific technologies
like carts, robots, specially equipped rooms or expensive remote-controllable camera setups. While these
are a helpful part of virtual care,
we view them as "enablers" for specific types of situations that might
require more advanced local setups.
The process of finding and connecting with the right clinical experts
and other collaborators is still at the core of virtual care,
regardless of the end-point technology.
